Beyond Food & Hospitality: Meet South City PR’s newest clients

Havens, a new high-end boutique on King street is a welcomed addition to the upper king block otherwise occupied by Little Jacks Tavern, Pancito and Lefty’s, and Leon’s Oyster Shop.  An incredible and fashion forward store and a place for one-of-kind unique finds, Havens’ urban aesthetic gives off vibes of a trendy boutique in Williamsburg or an artistic bohemian shelter along the Parisian left bank. Havens, a breath of fresh air, is unlike other traditionally southern shopping found downtown.

An answer to what Blanton felt was a hole in the Charleston market, Havens is edgy, chic, sophisticated, and only carries labels that are exclusive in local markets to the store. Havens finds unconventional designers from her travels and from markets from Paris to Los Angeles and New York City.  Some of the lines she carries are Rundholz, Ivan Grundahal, Sula and Shosh and Krista Larson, who Havens has carried in previous stores for two decades.  She gravitates towards lines that fit into her personal aesthetic, rock and roll with feminine, ethereal touches.  Havens is a place for creative clothing that is wearable, cocktail to street, without the structure of seasons.

Havens shopping philosophy is all about having a good time while finding a unique item that you love. “I think shopping should be a fun experience, breaking the ordinary and lifting women’s spirits.  My clothes are for women with a creative and interesting style.  To me, clothes give us a creative outlet.  I love to find new and unusual, independent designers that you won’t see anywhere else in Charleston,” says Blanton. This high-end, fashion forward boutique is a breath of fresh air, allowing clothes and accessories to be our creative outlet.

When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? For most of us our answer has changed over the years. However, for Jesse Lee Vickers her answer did not. She followed her passion for design despite any obstacles thrown her way. In 2012 Jesse opened JLV Creative, a creative design firm located in Charleston, SC.

South City PR’s newest design client, Jesse’s trademark is creating custom designs which reflect the personality of her clients. Her experiences of traveling throughout Europe and Latin America reflect in her style with the use of textiles. From residential and commercial interior design to wedding and event draping, Jessie does it all while having her client’s best interest at heart. Whether your style be graphic or traditional, Jesse’s will design a space best suit for you.
