A Simple Easter Cocktail

Posted on March 25, 2016

Is it just us, or did March fly by this year? We can’t believe it’s already Easter weekend, but we’re looking forward to relaxing with family and friends this Sunday, and perhaps indulging in a refreshing spring cocktail or two. Luckily, bar supervisor Drew Childers of the highly anticipated Charleston restaurant Harold’s Cabin has the perfect tipple to serve your guests this holiday weekend.

Childers’ Rosemary and Gin Sparkling Lemonade is crisp, herbal and just a little bit sweet – otherwise, the perfect cocktail to pair with a festive Easter spread. To recreate at home, combine 1 ½ ounces of your favorite gin, ¾ ounce rosemary simple syrup, fresh grapefruit juice and a splash of club soda in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake. Strain the mixture over fresh ice in a rocks glass or serve up in a coupe glass, and garnish with sprig of rosemary. Simple and delicious, it’s not hard to enjoy more than one.

Look for Childers behind the bar at Harold’s Cabin, opening very soon in Charleston’s Westside neighborhood. His creative drink offerings will complement the seasonal, vegetable-driven menu from executive chef Justin Pfau. In the meantime, we’ll take another Rosemary and Gin Sparkling Lemonade please.
